The problem with this accusation is that it might have been true in 1998, but it is not true in 2004. Irgendwo hat der gute Mann schon recht – warum kauft man sich für teures Geld eine Gigahertz-Maschine, wenn man dann eh nur wieder im Terminal rumhackt… Andererseits war ja der Grund mir einen Mac zu kaufen genau die Mischung aus Multimedia und Unix (Unix=Kommandozeile). Und wahrscheinlich auch nicht ganz grundlos bohrt MS bei Longhorn die Kommandozeile mächtig auf.
Ich denk, dass ein kompletter Verzicht ebenso wenig möglich ist, wie vor einigen Jahren die Einführung des papierlosen Computerarbeitsplatzes. Es gibt einfach Arbeiten, die nach wie vor am einfachsten mit solch antiquierten Methoden zu lösen sind.
